Growing in Discipline
Welcome to the Youth Leadership Development Course
As the world moves rapidly through technology, artificial intelligence, social change, and increasing pressure on young people, students need more than academic knowledge alone. They need confidence, discipline, character, communication skills, and a strong Islamic foundation to help them navigate life with clarity and purpose.
At Horizon Academy, our vision is to develop leaders through transformational learning. The Youth Leadership Development Course (YLDC) is a two-year program designed to provide students with continued Islamic education and practical leadership training.
Through experienced instructors, structured learning, mentorship, discussions, and real-world leadership opportunities, students are encouraged to grow into confident, responsible, and principled young Muslims. Our faculty bring strong subject knowledge and a genuine ability to work with teenagers of all backgrounds, helping students feel supported while challenging them to grow.
YLDC students develop essential skills in communication, decision-making, goal-setting, teamwork, service, and self-confidence. The program also helps students strengthen their identity, build positive relationships, and understand leadership through Islamic values such as adab, amanah, service, and excellence.
Our YLDC alumni have gone on to study in fields such as engineering, education, biology, medical sciences, and other areas. At the end of the program, graduates who fulfill all course requirements are also eligible to apply for a paid internship at Horizon Academy.
