YLDC 2 builds on the foundation of YLDC 1 and invites students to think creatively and intentionally about their future.

Using design-thinking principles, students explore what they want to be, do, and become.

Through interactive online workshops, virtual collaboration, breakout discussions, and guided exercises, students learn to:

* Approach problems creatively
* Challenge and reframe limiting beliefs
* Generate and test new ideas
* Become comfortable with experimentation
* Identify activities that create engagement and flow
* Explore educational, career, and life possibilities
* Design three possible futures through Odyssey Plans
* Seek advice and perspective through prototype conversations
* Turn ideas into practical action plans

Learn from an Experienced Youth Leader

YLDC is led by an Executive Human Resources Director with more than 30 years of experience in youth leadership development and training.

With a career focused on leadership, people development, and organizational growth, the instructor brings a wealth of practical experience to the program—combined with a unique ability to connect with teenagers, understand their perspectives, and create an environment in which they feel comfortable participating and expressing themselves.

What makes the YLDC approach distinctive is the way the instructor blends:

Rather than presenting leadership as a set of abstract concepts, students are encouraged to explore how Islamic principles and leadership skills can guide the choices they make in their relationships, education, personal development, and future careers.

Online Does Not Mean Passive

YLDC is intentionally designed for active online participation.

Students are not simply watching recordings or listening to lectures. They are actively involved throughout each live session.

A Journey from Identity to Purpose

YLDC is more than an online class. It is a journey of personal, spiritual, and leadership development that takes place from September to June.

Students begin with YLDC 1, developing the habits and self-awareness needed to lead themselves.

They can then progress to YLDC 2, where they explore their interests, possibilities, and purpose and begin designing their future.

Eligible graduates may continue into the YLDC Internship Program, where they can apply what they have learned through online projects and activities, take on greater responsibility, contribute to the program, and become examples for future students.

Students may also have opportunities to connect virtually with YLDC alumni and professionals, learning from their experiences and seeing how faith, education, leadership, and service can come together in different fields and careers.
